Members can take advantage of new benefits and services
East Meadow, NY and Chicago, IL, June 16, 2008 – Lufthansa and United Airlines today announced they have combined their individual corporate incentive programs to create a single joint program under United’s PerksPlus® brand. Lufthansa’s previous “Corporate Mileage Plan” members and United’s PerksPlus participants will now have access to more benefits across a wider, global network.
The enhanced PerksPlus program, which will be administered by United Airlines, rewards small and medium sized companies in the United States that spend a minimum of $20,000 during a 12 month period on Lufthansa, United, and United Express combined. Point accruals are based on dollars spent within fare classes.
Under the combined PerksPlus program, U.S. members can now earn and redeem points both on Lufthansa-operated and on United-operated flights across both airlines’ global networks. Depending on the booking class, one, two or four points can be earned for every dollar spent. All U.S. members are eligible to receive joint Lufthansa/United Airlines award travel and upgrades, United Red Carpet Club memberships and One-Time Passes, as well as United Premier Executive, Premier and Premier Associate memberships.
The new program will significantly expand the benefits available to members. Participants can request rewards online at www.perkspluspartners.com, as well as set up individual PerksPlus online accounts, where they can view their travel activities and manage their profiles. PerksPlus works in addition to United’s Mileage Plus® program and Miles & More, the frequent flyer program of Lufthansa, allowing both individual travelers and companies to earn benefits.
